Prepare your details, then complete setup
In short
Start at TradelTop's trade-company signup page, create your account and complete the company profile setup. Have your business name, Australian Business Number (ABN), trade categories, contact details and service locations ready. Prepare a short description and photos you have permission to publish, then set availability and lead-alert timing. You must be at least 18 and only offer work you are legally permitted and equipped to perform. Review the current Credit terms before unlocking leads; signup does not guarantee enquiries or jobs.
Step 1
Gather the information your profile uses
Use details for the business that will quote and carry out the work. An ABN is an 11-digit business identifier. Check that yours is current and belongs to that business; registering for an ABN through the government is free if you are eligible.
Before you open signup
| Profile section | Have this ready |
|---|---|
| Business details | Business name, ABN and the trade categories you offer. |
| Contact details | Contact person's first and last name, phone number and an email inbox you can access. |
| Location and coverage | Your business address, service locations, travel radius and any postcodes you want to exclude. |
| Business description | A short explanation of your services, usual jobs and relevant experience. |
| Photos | A profile image and examples of your work, with permission to publish them. |
| Availability and alerts | When you can take work and when you want to receive lead alerts. |
Step 2
Create your trade-company account
Open the trade-company signup link and follow the account prompts. If you already have an account, log in instead. Keep your login details secure and use an email address you can continue to access.
Enter your business and contact details in profile setup. The contact section supports email confirmation using a code; follow the prompts shown for your address. Read any validation messages before moving on and correct mistakes in names, numbers or addresses.
Step 3
Describe the work you offer and where you travel
Choose trade categories that match work you can actually deliver. Set your service locations and radius around the jobs you can reach economically, using postcode exclusions where needed. A broad area can include trips that cost more time than the job justifies.
Write a description with specific services and limits. Illustrative painting example: 'We paint interiors in occupied homes, including walls, ceilings and trims. We can quote preparation and painting for individual rooms or a whole interior. We do not offer roof painting.' Set the service area separately and use photos of your own work to support the description.
Confirm the licences, permits and insurance needed for your services and location before offering work. The Australian Business Licence and Information Service (ABLIS) can point you to the relevant requirements. Entering an ABN or describing a licence in a profile does not establish TradelTop verification of your business or credentials.

Step 4
Set availability and lead-alert timing
Use the availability settings to reflect the work you can take on. Set lead-alert timing around when someone can review enquiries, checking the company timezone shown in setup. These are separate decisions: a convenient notification time does not mean your team is available to do the job then.
Review your contact details, photos and description before finishing. Remove customer faces, addresses or other private information from photos unless you have permission to share it. Update your profile and availability when services, coverage or capacity change.
Step 5
Review a lead before spending Credits
After setup, you can review matched leads when available. Check the scope, photos, suburb, timing and displayed Credit cost before deciding to unlock contact details. For the painting example, a whole exterior in a distant suburb may be a poor fit even if it is in a painting category.
TradelTop uses Credit packs with no monthly subscription, minimum term, auto-renewal or early termination fee. Credits do not expire, are not cash and cannot be used outside TradelTop. One Credit does not necessarily equal one lead. Credits are charged when a contact purchase successfully completes and customer contact details become available.
Check the offer and terms displayed in your account for any signup promotion, eligible leads and expiry dates. Do not assume a promotional Credit amount or unlock price will apply to every account. Unlocking a lead gives you a way to pursue that enquiry; the customer still decides whom to hire.
